Jewish Youth Network

The London Jewish Forum is working with a number of youth movements and set up the Jewish Youth Network in conjunction with the UJIA. Within the capital LJF looks at ways in which young people from the Jewish Community can be given a stronger voice.

The London Jewish Forum believes that peer-led youth initiatives are a good model for developing self-reliance. self-autonomy and a sense of communal responsibility. The Forum has advocated this approach to City Hall and is pleased to see that the Mayor is looking to duplicate some of the Jewish community’s youth development models elsewhere in the capital.

The Forum is about to consult with various youth groups on how best to ensure that civic bodies are truly inclusive of all young people and reflect the cultures and religions that make up local communities.
