The London Jewish Forum with Maccabi GB and the UJIA have formed the London Olympics Jewish Organizing Committee. This is dedicated to ensuring greater community involvement in the Olympic Games in 2012.

The group is aiming to work with Jewish schools and their communities in meeting Jewish Olympians; the development of welfare, culture and religious services for Jewish athletes in the Olympic Village; a London 2012 Jewish website for visitors to the Games; the long-term legacy for the Jewish community within the five Olympic Boroughs and utilising sports to bring groups together and celebrate the cultural diversity of the city (see JC article).

The London Jewish Forum is working on developing good community relations projects with sports, arts and business organisation.
The LJF is committed to utilising sports as a medium for developing better community relations in London and is working with youth groups and sporting organisations such as Maccabi GB to ensure that more young people within the Jewish community are encouraged into sport.


Culture

The London Jewish Forum was set up with the aim of promoting Jewish life in London. The London Jewish Forum is dedicated to working with its cultural partners in developing Jewish culture in the city.

The Forum has through its steering group strong connections to the Jewish Museum, Jewish Community Centre (JCC), and Jewish Music Institute / JMI UK.

The LJF works with City Hall to ensure a platform for Jewish cultural through the events in Trafalgar Square. The Office of the Mayor is committed to a summer and winter Jewish festival in the Square. The LJF support both Simcha in the Square and the Hannukah lighting ceremony.
